In order to increase its penetration of the market, the Consortium has devised a fresh strategy for acquiring new market niches.
On the basis of the results an in-depth market analysis of the tourist business, we have arranged to put together an offer of consortium services to three specific markets sectors:
- - Travel Agencies
- - Major Clients (Associations, Public and Private Companies, Schools)
- - Incoming structures (Congresses, Organisers, etc.)
The market analysis revealed that of the over 5,000 Travel Agencies operating in Italy more than 3,000 are small retail agencies. These smaller agencies can be found in almost all Italian municipalities and they all receive overnight accommodation requests from their habitual clients. These requests are quite apart from any regularly planned trips or travel organised by the big tour operators. In view of the fact that the agencies are not in touch with the hotels on a regular basis, when they receive requests of this kind they usually have trouble finding accommodation. This means that they have to spend a lot of money and time contacting hotels in different places and even when they find available rooms they are unlikely to receive their commission.

Furthermore, the Consortium guarantees such Agencies and Incoming Structures a 5% commission on sales of rooms in 1-star and 2-star hotels and a 7% commission in 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels. The commission is paid on a monthly basis.
